Sexual education questions?

i was wondering, what is hypersexual? i heard it's like when you're really turned on, then i heard it's the opposite. i also heard things like it's genetic (which i don't see how really) and that it's all in the persons mind, and sometimes, its serious and needs to be treated. can somebody explain this to me please?Sexual education questions?

the prefix 'hyper' means over so it would mean overly sexual. it probably could be genetic because it has to do with hormones, and you inherit those from your parents.
Also, i've never heard about hypersexuality needing to be treated, I suppose if it in any way interferes with your every day life in a way that is harmful than you could take a mood stabilizer...
