My doctor is giving me pills for depression. Does anyone else have to and does it really work?
I was on them for years and they worked for me. The are like a band aid though. If you don't fix the problem that is causing you to have to be on them, they will only be a temporary fix. If used correctly and with counseling, they will help. My Dr said that it takes 3 months to get the levels right in your body though, so please don't expect that after taking them for a week to feel better. Good luck and God bless.
yeah.. i had depression.. i took pills but they didnt work for like 3 days(i think it got a little worse) but then one day i jus woke up with so much energy.. after about a week i stopped cold turkey because i was looking through the internet and some ppl though it was a sin(im christian)
but overall: yea it does work
yes they do work Ive been on them for a few years and feel OK but it takes about 4 weeks before you start to feel better, good luck
I have taken pills for depression in the past, they helped but caused lots of nasty side effects.
Honestly.. in my opinion.. I don't think depression is a sickness.
I had to take them throughout highschool and early college. They helped give me more energy and motivation at first, but then just tapered off into having no measurable effects. However, if you have a high sex drive and don't like it, then anti-depressants are the medication or you.
